After a record number of exhibitors, Anuga 2015 also increased its attendance figures. Around 160,000 trade visitors from 192 countries attended Anuga in Cologne from 10 to 14 October 2015. "Anuga is unparalleled as a business and information platform for the global food industry," said Gerald Böse, President and Chief Executive Officer of Koelnmesse. "Once again this year, it has clearly underlined its position as the leading international trade fair." Anuga 2015 presented over 7,000 exhibitors from 108 countries. The share of foreign exhibitors was 89 percent and the share of foreign visitors was 68 percent. The exhibitors were particularly impressed by the quality of the visitors. Decisionmaking buyers from the trade and from the food service sector ensured that the trade fair took a dynamic course. The 33rd Anuga was opened on Saturday, 10 October 2015 by Christian Schmidt, the German Minister for Food and Agriculture, and Evangelos Apostolou, the Greek Minister for Agricultural Development and Food. Greece was the partner country of Anuga 2015 and the country was successfully represented by over 200 Greek exhibitors, who presented the entire variety and quality of Greece's food industry. The international significance of Anuga for the food sector was also an occasion for numerous high-ranking political delegations from Germany and abroad to visit Anuga.

Özgür Tarım attended 32nd ANUGA exhibition this year and had the opportunity of showing its products and technology to the representatives of the sector. ANUGA is one of the top leading trade fairs in the food sector and will occupy the entire exhibition complex in Cologne (Germany), which has 284,000 m² of gross exhibition space in 11 halls.
AEA (Aegean Exporters' Associations) declared the biggest exporters in 2012. Özgür Tarım was ranked 2nd in Dried Fruits category due to its export level in 2012.
Özgür Tarım’s booth with a remarkable design, attracted great interest from visitors and sultanas were distributed to the visitors in order to increase the consumption of sultanas as snacks. Beside these, while samples of sultanas forms were given to representatives of manufacturer companies which have potential to use sultanas and which are already using sultanas in their products, the questions of them were replied by getting their sultanas inquiries and contact information via biletarel meetings.
SIAL Paris 2012 were held between October 21-25 for the 25th time and according to the information provided from the fair organizer, approximately 6.000 companies participated in the fair and it was visited by approximately 140.000 visitors from 200 different countries.
Minister of Food Agriculture and Livestock Mehmet Mehdi Eker said that represented by 256 companies, Turkey is the biggest participant of Global Food Exhibition SIAL held in Paris France.
In his speech at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Minister Eker underlined the importance of the agricultural cooperation between France and Turkey and said that Turkey’s participation in the exhibition has increased for the last 20 years reaching its peak this year. Minister Eker, who mentioned that Turkey is represented by 256 Turkish companies on an area of 10 thousand square meters, said: “Turkey has the biggest exhibition area among the participants. Turkey is making progress in production, export and trade sector. At every stand we visit, we come across a trade contact being made or a business meeting”. Minister Eker also stated that the fact that Turkey participates in the exhibition with 256 companies means that Turkey has made good use of the opportunity to meet the world markets. Talking about the relations between France and Turkey and the agricultural steering committee to be held next month, Minister Eker said: “We hope Turkey and European Union will make progress in terms of chapters on agriculture through the development of relations and through France. Our agricultural trade volume is more than 800 million dollars. More than 500 million dollars is the export from Turkey to France. We know that there is even greater potential. We work hard to use this potential. Both our food industry and agricultural production and trade sector work hard on this. We also consider this exhibition as an opportunity of making using of this potential”.
President of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) Murat Yalcintas stated that through the fairs, it is possible to see the progress Turkey has made in the areas of food and agriculture and said: “Turkey’s participation, the quality of Turkish products and the attitudes of European customers visiting our stands show that Turkey is on the right way”.
Following the speeches, Minister Eker visited the stands of the Turkish companies and presented certificates of participation to the representatives of the companies. Minister Eker also met with the French Minister of Agriculture Stephane Le Foll and announced that they agreed on taking mutual steps to further develop the agricultural relations between the two countries.
